Behavioral Challenges Support in Utah — Compassionate, Structured Care
Helping children, teens, and families build positive, lasting change — with evidence-based behavioral support all under one roof.
Why Choose NBCG for Behavioral Support
Behavioral challenges can disrupt home life, school performance, and relationships — and they rarely have simple explanations. Our approach goes deeper, focusing on understanding the root causes of behavior while building the practical skills children and families need for long-term success.
Whether you're navigating oppositional behaviors, emotional outbursts, difficulty in school, or a complex diagnosis like autism — we have the right provider, and the right approach, for you.
Signs it may be time to reach out.
Behavioral challenges don't always look the same — and they don't need to reach a crisis point to deserve attention. If any of these sound familiar, our team is here to help.
Difficulty Following Rules or Routines
Persistent struggles with structure, transitions, or expectations at home or school that go beyond typical developmental behavior.
Impulsivity or Emotional Outbursts
Explosive reactions, frequent meltdowns, or difficulty regulating strong emotions — especially when they feel out of proportion to the situation.
Oppositional or Defiant Behaviors
Frequent arguing, refusal to comply, hostility toward authority figures, or patterns of behavior that strain family relationships.
Social or School-Related Difficulties
Challenges connecting with peers, bullying, academic disengagement, or behavior problems that have drawn school attention.
Challenges with Attention & Self-Regulation
Difficulty staying on task, organizing, or managing impulses — often connected to ADHD, anxiety, autism, or other underlying conditions.
Caregiver Stress & Family Conflict
When a child's behavior is affecting the entire household — and parents feel overwhelmed, unsure of next steps, or exhausted by daily conflict.
care that's structured, evidence-based, and built for families.
Evidence-based behavioral interventions
We use proven, structured methods — including ABA, CBT, and behavioral parent training — tailored to each child's unique profile and needs.
Collaborative care with therapists & specialists
Our interdisciplinary team works together — therapists, behavioral analysts, and psychiatric providers — so care is connected, not fragmented.
Individualized plans focused on skill-building
We don't just reduce problem behaviors — we teach practical skills for emotional regulation, communication, and independence.
Support for both children and caregivers
Parents and families are an essential part of every treatment plan. We provide coaching, guidance, and strategies you can use at home every day.
NBCG integrates behavioral care with therapy and family support to improve outcomes across settings — at home, in school, and in the community.

Indications for Treatment
The providers at Neurobehavioral Center for Growth (NBCG) offer behavioral support and psychiatric medication management for a range of conditions, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and anxiety-related behavioral challenges. Services are provided based on individual assessments and in conjunction with other therapeutic interventions as needed.
Important Safety Information
Psychiatric medications are only available by prescription and should be taken as directed by a healthcare provider. A provider at NBCG can help determine if medication is right for your child. Responses to medications may vary, and ongoing monitoring is necessary to ensure safety and effectiveness.
Common side effects may include drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, changes in appetite, or mood fluctuations. Some medications carry risks such as dependency, withdrawal symptoms, or rare but serious adverse effects. It is important to discuss all potential risks and benefits with your provider.
Medications for mental health conditions should not be discontinued without consulting a healthcare provider. If you experience severe side effects, worsening symptoms, or thoughts of self-harm, seek immediate medical attention.
