Giannina Fuentes, CSW
Giannina Fuentes, CSW, earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2010) and a master’s degree in social work (2017), both from University of Utah. In graduate school, she has completed two internships, one of them with Community Health Centers and the other one with Child and Family Empowerment Services, where she served children, adolescents, adults and families. Giannina had the opportunity to work with range of personal and family problems including childhood and adult trauma, domestic violence, conduct disorder, anxiety, depression, stress, and relationships. She also worked extensively with children and family of all ages as a child welfare worker for DCFS, and with children with autism, ADHD and people with disabilities.
Giannina specializes in building resilience, parenting training, social skills training, and family relationships. She utilizes CBT, TF-CBT, Mindfulness, and a range of evidence and strengths based interventions to fit her client’s needs. Giannina is bilingual (Spanish). She is a young professional who believes that each individual can heal and overcome their struggles in life with the assistance of a counselor to guide them through the path of healing. Whatever the goal or challenge, Giannina can provide the safe, compassionate, and confidential environment needed to gain perspective and heal.
Giannina loves to keep her mind and body connected in harmony. She likes hiking with her dog, reading, dancing, meditating, and spending time with family and friends.
