Breanna Nelson, MS, CCC-SLP
Breanna Nelson, MS, CCC-SLP is a Utah licensed and ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association) certified speech-language pathologist with 12 years experience. She received her bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and master’s degree from Gallaudet University. She has a wide range of experience evaluating and treating populations with a variety of diagnoses and all ages. She also has experience providing services via telehealth, a new effective and convenient way to provide therapy.
Feeding Disorders: swallowing problems related to oral motor structure/ function, oral aversion/ food refusal, failure to thrive/ gain weight
Hearing loss: aural rehabilitation for children and adults including pre and post cochlear implant services; communication strategies; communication systems (American Sign Language, spoken language- auditory/verbal)
Speech Sound Disorders: apraxia, articulation, phonological disorders, dysarthria
Cleft Palate: speech, language, voice, feeding
Developmental Delays: understanding and using language, autism, global delays
Traumatic Brain Injuries: cognitive evaluation and treatment including memory, thinking/ processing, verbal expression
Breanna loves working with her patients to provide quality assessment and therapy that is driven by patient and caregiver goals. She also provides coaching, education, and support services to caregivers.
